Chairman of the Commission met with representatives of the National Judicial Institute of Canada, 4 September, 2015
Mr Sergii Koziakov, Commission Chairman held a working meeting with Honorable Justice Adele Kent, Director of the National Judicial Institute of Canada on 4 September, 2015.
Mrs Brenda Cupper, Director of the International Cooperation Group, Mr Donald Chiasson, Legal and Executive Director, International Cooperation Group, Mr Ihor Osyka, Project Manager of “Judicial Education for Economic Growth,” Mr Andrii Vasylenko, Member of the Commission and Mrs Polina Kazakevych, Head of International Cooperation Department of the Commission Secretariat also took part in the discussion of further cooperation between the Commission and the National Judicial Institute of Canada.
Mr Koziakov informed the Canadian colleagues about amendments that occurred in Ukrainian legislation and told about work of the Commission in preparation for initial qualification assessment of judges.
The two sides also exchanged views on future directions of cooperation of the Commission and the National Judicial Institute of Canada, namely in framework of the new Ukrainian-Canadian project on judicial reform.
