Monthly meeting of donors and projects implementers, 4 November, 2015
The representatives of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine took part in the regular meeting of donors and projects\programs implementers in the field of the rule of law, organized by the USAID FAIR Justice Project on 4 November, 2015.
The representatives of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, High Specialized Court of Ukraine for Civil and Criminal Cases, High Administrative Court of Ukraine, High Council of Justice, the Embassies of Sweden and Great Britain in Ukraine, OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine, International Development Law Organization, and international projects participated in the meeting.
Mr Ihor Benedysiuk, Chairman of the High Council of Justice was welcomed as the main reporter of the event. He told about the first working results of the High Council of Justice in new composition and shared his vision on main challenges, trends and priorities in future work of the Council.
At the end of the meeting the participants traditionally exchanged news about current and planned activities in strengthening the rule of law.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) FAIR Justice Project (FAIR) has been working in Ukraine from October 2011 to promote judicial reform.
The goal of FAIR is to strengthen the rule of law through enhancing judicial independence, improving transparency and accountability of the judiciary, raising awareness of the public about the judiciary to increase public trust and confidence.
Objectives of the Project are to assist in harmonizing the national legislative and regulatory framework for the judicial reform with European and international standards of judicial accountability and independence; strengthen the accountability and transparency of key judicial institutions; enhance the professionalism and effectiveness of the judiciary; increase the role of civil society organizations as advocates for and monitors of the judiciary.
