10 judges of the Appeal Court of Kyiv city confirmed the capability to administer justice
On 26 May 2016 the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has determined the results of the initial qualification assessment of 12 judges of Appeal Court of Kyiv city.
Based on the assessment results, the Board of the Commission composed of Mr. Mykola Partiuk, Head of the Board, Mr. Volodymyr Butenko and Mr. Andrii Vasylenko, has decided that the following 10 judges are capable to administer justice in the respective court.
- Mrs. Olena Borysova;
- Mr. Viktor Kachan;
- Mrs. Halyna Kyryliuk;
- Mrs. Valentyna Kravets;
- Mrs. Anna Kryzhanivska;
- Mr. Borys Levenets;
- Mrs. Olena Mazuryk;
- Mrs. Natalia Maraieva;
- Mrs. Liudmyla Makhlai;
- Mrs. Svitlana Muzychko.
Mr. Hennadii Korchevnyi did not confirm the capability to administer justice. The Commission suspended him from administration of justice and directed to the National School of Judges of Ukraine to undergo retraining, which will last till 22 September 2016. During retraining, the court specialization and instance, as well as the results of the initial qualification assessment of this judge will be considered. After retraining, the judge will be subject to reassessment.
Regarding the judge Mrs. Olena Lapchevska, the Commission decided to take a recess in considering the determination of results of initial qualification assessment due to the need for additional data verification of judicial dossier.
