9 judges passed the initial qualification assessment
On 30 March 2016 the Qualification Chamber of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine announced the results of initial qualification assessment of 10 judges of the 5th Group.
Upon the results of assessment 9 judges applying for lifetime appointment, confirmed the ability to administer justice in the appropriate courts, namely:
- Mr. Vitalii Barvenko, judge of Kominternovskyi District Court of Odesa region;
- Mr. Andrii Vasyliuk, judge of Novovolynskyi City Court of Volyn region;
- Mr. Vitalii Halytskyi, judge of Vilshanskyi District Court of Kirovohrad region;
- Mrs. Alevtyna Zadorozhna, judge of Moscovskyi District Court of Kharkiv city;
- Mr. Vitalii Ivchenko, judge of Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa city;
- Mrs. Iryna Melnychuk, judge of Pustomotivskyi District Court of Lviv region;
- Mrs. Iryna Pishchulia, judge of Narodytskyi District Court of Zhytomyr region;
- Mrs. Nadiia Poberezhna, judge of Shpolianskyi District Court of Cherkasy region;
- Mrs. Oksana Poshtarenko, judge of Samarskyi District Court of Dnipropetrovsk city.
Mr. Mykhailo Popov, judge of Karlivskyi District Court of Poltava region did not confirm the ability to administer justice. The Commission suspended him from administration of justice and sent to the National School of Judges of Ukraine to undergo retraining, which will last until 22 August 2016. During retraining, the court specialization and instance will be considered, as well as the results of the initial qualification assessment of Mr. Popov. After retraining the judge mentioned will be subject to reassessment.
