Collaboration between the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine and Interim Commission for verification judges of courts of general jurisdiction
The members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine and the Interim Commission for verification judges of courts of general jurisdiction discussed the issues concerning disciplinary practices during the meeting held on March 31, 2015.
The sides exchanged information regarding disciplinary actions that respect the judges who have ruled the decisions on the participants of mass protests (Euromaidan, AutoMaidan). Mr Volodymyr Moisyk, Chairman of the Interim Commission for verification judges of courts of general jurisdiction mentioned that the Commission has to examine materials about 357 judges.
Mr Sergii Koziakov, Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine supported the opinion that we need to develop common approaches for dealing with this category of cases. In particular, he noted the importance of judicial dossier, where can be save all information about violations committed by judges.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the distinction breach of oath disciplinary actions and deadlines for bring judges to responsibility.
