Commission and international partners summarized the results of cooperation within the framework of the competition to the High Anti-Corruption Court
On February 27, 2019, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine hosted a working meeting with representatives of international organizations, diplomatic institutions and international technical assistance projects as to the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
The purpose of the event was to summarize the effective cooperation of the Commission with international partners in course of the competition to the High Anti-Corruption Court and its Appeal Chamber over the past seven months, in particular, as to the establishment of the Public Council of International Experts and work at special joint meetings.
International representatives highly appreciated the results of cooperation and also noted that the competition to the HACC has already been recognized successful both in Ukraine and abroad.
Representatives of the HQCJ thanked for effective and ever-timely support of the international community despite the intensity of the work performed.
Representatives of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Embassies of Denmark and the United States, the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the EUACI, the Office of Democracy and Governance (ODG) of the USAID Regional Mission for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, the USAID New Justice Program, the EU Pravo-Justice Project and the International Law Development Organization (IDLO) participated in the discussion.
Mr. Sergii Koziakov, Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Stanislav Shchotka, Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Andriy Kozlov, member of Qualification Chamber of the Commission and Ms. Olena Ponomarenko, Head of the Commission Secretariat attended the meeting on the part of the HQCJ.
