Commission continues taking measures for implementing and holding initial qualification assessment of judges
The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine jointly with the regional offices of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine in Lvivska oblast and Lviv regional office of the National School of Judges of Ukraine held a meeting with the court staff managers and specialists of human resources of general local courts in the Lvivska oblast on 3 November, 2015.
The event was carried out to discuss the creation, formation and maintenance of judicial dossier of local courts judges.
In addition, on 3 November, 2015 under preparations for organization and holding of initial qualification assessment of appellate court judges, Mr. Roman Savchuk, Director of Professional Qualification of Judges and Judicial Candidates Department of the Commission Secretariat held a videoconference with judges of the Appeal Court of Kharkivska oblast during which he highlighted the main provisions of procedure for initial qualification assessment of judges and provided answers to questions about the assessment of judges.

"In accordance with paragraph 6 of Section II of the Law of Ukraine “On ensuring the right to a fair trial” the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine shall insure holding of initial qualification assessment of appellate courts judges within 2 years from the date of enactment of this Law.
Under paragraph 14 of Section II of the Law of Ukraine “On ensuring the right to a fair trial” the State Judicial Administration shall insure creation and transmission of judicial dossiers to the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine within 12 months from the date of enactment of this Law. "
