Commission extended the suspension term for judges Oksana Tsarevych and Serhii Vovk

At the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, held on 16 November, 2015, it considered the issue of suspension and extension of suspension of judges in connection with criminal prosecution.

Based on the request of the Prosecutor-General of Ukraine the Commission extended for 1 month the suspension term of:

  • Mrs. Oksana Tsarevych, judge of Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv city;
  • Mr. Serhii Vovk, judge of Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv city.

The Commission suspended for 2 months the following judges:

  • Mr. Mykola Reshetnik, judge of Babushkinsky District Court of Dnipropetrovsk city;
  • Mr. Andrii Kramarenko, judge of Berdianskyi City-District Court of Zaporizka oblast.

The Commission deferred consideration of the issue on suspension of Mr. Pavlo Skutelnyk, judge of Commercial Court of Kyivska oblast.

Moreover, the Commission decided to return the Prosecutor-General’s request concerning the suspension Mrs. Iryna  Tarankova, judge of Komsomolskyi City Court of Poltavska oblast.

Judge Oksana Tsarevych

Judge Oksana Tsarevych was suspended for two months from the office of judge of Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv city by the Commission Decision as of 9 September, 2015.

Judge Oksana Tsarevych is suspected of committing a criminal offense prescribed by Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely in rendering knowingly unjust rulings on bringing to administrative responsibility under Article 1222 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences.

Judge Iryna Tarankova

Judge Iryna Tarankova is accused of committing a criminal offense prescribed by Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely rendering knowingly unjust ruling on bringing to administrative responsibility under Article 1222 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences.

Judge Mykola Reshetnik

Judge Mykola Reshetnik is suspected of committing a criminal offense prescribed by paragraph 3 of the Article 371 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, paragraph 2 of the Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine which is obviously illegal house arrest, detention and the rendering knowingly unjust decisions.

Judge Pavlo Skutelnyk

Judge Pavlo Skutelnyk is suspected of a criminal offense under paragraph 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely in obtaining illegitimate benefits for the decision to remove the liquidator from his duties and to appoint new liquidator in bankruptcy.

Judge Andrii Kramarenko

Judge Andrii Kramarenko is suspected of a criminal offense under paragraph 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely demanding and obtaining illegitimate benefits for rendering a decision on recovering the debt.

Judge Serhii Vovk

Judge Serhii Vovk was suspended for two months from the office of judge of Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv city by the Commission Decision as of 18 August, 2015. His suspension was also extended for 1 month by the Commission Decision as of 16 October, 2015.

Judge Serhii Vovk is suspected of committing a criminal offense prescribed by Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely in rendering knowingly unjust rulings.
