Commission recommends the High Council of Justice to dismiss judge Mr. Valerii Chornobuk for oath violation
At the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, held on 2nd June 2016, it considered the issue of bringing judges to disciplinary responsibility.
Having considered the appeal of the 2+2 TV-channel program “Liustrator 7.62” chief-editor Mr. V. Sydorenko, the appeal of the Dnipropetrovsk region political party “Demokratychnyi alians”, the Commission decided to recommend the High Council of Justice (HCJ) dismissing a judge of Appellation Court of Dnipropetrovsk region Mr. Valerii Chornobuk, seeing in his actions the evidences of oath violation being the judge of Appellation Court of Crimean Autonomous Repiblic.
Due to the term expiry the Commission terminated the disciplinary proceedings against judge of Nikopol City-District Court of Dnipoterovsk region Mrs. Olena Novikova.
Regarding 72 appeals, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine decided to deny opening disciplinary cases.
Moreover, HQCJU terminated disciplinary proceedings concerning 24 judges.
