Commission’s representatives took part in the steering Committee meeting of Ukrainian-Canadian Support to Judicial Reform Project

On June 27, 2019, Deputy Director of the Judicial Career Department, Head of the Division of Statistical and Analytical Work of the Secretariat of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Oleh Rybchuk took part in the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Ukrainian-Canadian Support to Judicial Reform Project.

Oleh Rybchuk presented to the members of the Committee the main achievements of the joint action of the HQCJU and the Ukrainian-Canadian Support to Judicial Reform Project for the period from April 2018 to March 2019 and, on behalf of the leadership of the Commission, sincerely thanked the Project for continuing professional support, in particular, for improving the judicial selection and qualification judges' evaluation in the aspect of judicial integrity, transparency, justice, gender equality and neutrality; in carrying out the analysis and providing recommendations for the improvement of local legal acts of the Commission, etc.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada, the National Judicial Institute of Canada, the Supreme Court, the High Council of Justice of Ukraine, the Council of Judges of Ukraine, the National School of Judges of Ukraine, the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, and the courts of pilot regions of the Project participated in the meeting of the Steering Committee: the Court of Appeal of Khmelnytsk Region, the Court of Appeal of Zaporizhzhia Region, the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court and the Odessa Circuit Administrative Court.
