Judicial Selection and Discipline: Achievements, Experience and Activity of the High Qualification Commission in the New Environment
The Commission in partnership with USAID FAIR Justice Project carried the workshop on «Judicial Selection and Discipline: Achievements, Experience and Activity of the High Qualification Commission in the New Environment», which was held for two days (19-20 February 2015).
The members and employees of the Secretariat of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, members and staff of the High Council of Justice, members of the Judicial Council of Ukraine, representatives of the National School of Judges of Ukraine, State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, members of the Interim Commission for verification judges of courts of general jurisdiction, international and local experts were invited to attend the workshop.
The purpose of the seminar is the introduction of newly appointed members with the foreign experience and practice for the selection of judges and judicial discipline, discussion of the problematic aspects of the Commission, and also the implementation in work of the High Qualification Commission of modern information technology and automation.
During the workshop it will be determined the next steps in the institutional establishment of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
