Meeting with representatives of the EU Pravo-Justice Project took place in the Commission
On May 13, 2019, a working meeting with representatives of the European Union Pravo-Justice Project, international experts Mr. Ted Zarzeczny and Ms. Anna Adamska-Gallant and national expert of the Project Ms. Oksana Matiyash took place in the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
Within the framework of the continuation of the Project in the context of improving the selection and evaluation process of judges in Ukraine, parties discussed the issues related to the progress of the qualification evaluation of judges for the compliance with the position of judge and the selection procedures for judges and agreed on further cooperation.
The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine at the event was represented by Chairman of the Commission Mr. Sergii Koziakov and Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Commission Secretariat Ms.Yuliia Tkachenko.

EU Pravo-Justice Project, implemented with the financial support of the European Union, is aimed to consolidate European reforms in the field of justice. The Project, bringing together experts from different EU member states, will be completed by the end of 2020. The main areas of work of the Project are, inter alia: assisting the state bodies of Ukraine in the process of restoration of the judiciary system; selection of new judges to the Supreme Court; creation of the Judicial Reform Council; restructuring of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine; reforming registry and e-justice; setting up the work of probation service, etc.
