New Report of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the human rights situation in Ukraine has been published

We would like to draw your attention to the new Report of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the human rights situation in Ukraine, covering the period from November 16, 2017 to February 15, 2018.

The report is based on data received by the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission to Ukraine as a result of 276 detailed interviews with victims and witnesses of human rights violations, as well as visits to settlements located both on the territory under the control of the Government and on the territory, controlled by illegal armed groups.

The Report prepared on the results of the work of the UN Monitoring Mission refers, in particular, to the insufficient level of prosecution of the perpetrators of human rights violations and emphasizes the urgency of ensuring justice for victims of such violations.

Particular attention in the Report is devoted to cases of intimidation and pressure on the judiciary.
