Regular meeting with members of the Public Council of International Experts was held
On February 5, 2019, members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine held a regular meeting with members of the Public Council of International Experts in the framework of the competition for the positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court and the Appeal Chamber of this court.
The parties discussed timelines and the procedure of preparing decisions on compliance of candidates for the positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court with the criteria specified in the Article 8, paragraph 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On the High Anti-Corruption Court”, following the results of the special joint meetings of the HQCJ and the PCIE, as well as technical aspects of drafting the texts of that decisions.
The HQCJ at the meeting was represented by the Chairman of the Commission Mr. Sergii Koziakov, the Deputy Chairman of the Commission Mr. Stanislav Shchotka, members of the Commission Mr. Andrii Vasylenko, Mr. Andrii Kozlov, Mr. Volodymyr Butenko, Mr. Mykola Mishyn and Mr. Stepan Gladii.
The PCIE at the discussion was represented by Sir Anthony Hooper, Mr. Ted Zarzeczny, Mr. Flemming Christian Denker, Ms. Lorna Mclean Harris, Ms. Mirjana Lazarova Trajkovska.
Representatives of the HQCJ and the PCIE Secretariats as well as the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) also attended the event.
The members of the HQCJ and the PCIE agreed on the further joint steps to prepare those decisions.
