Representatives of the Secretariat of the Commission held working meeting with representatives of European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM) in Strategic Communications

11 October 2016 representatives of the Secretariat of the Commission held working meeting with representatives of European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM). The participants of the event discussed the perspective directions of cooperation between the Commission and the EUAM in the field of judicial communications.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Svitlana Maksimova, the chief specialist of support of the leadership of the Commission's Secretariat, Mrs. Vinetta Kleine, Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications, European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine and Mr. Tiit Matsulevich, Adviser for Strategic Communications of the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine.

In particular, the parties discussed the issues of communication policy and strategy of the Commission and its implementation, the organization of internal and external communication, interaction with other bodies of the judiciary and judicial authorities in this area.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the joint work of the Commission and the EUAM and discussed closer cooperation in the field of judicial communications.

European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine advises and supports the relevant state bodies of Ukraine in the sector of civil security in the conceptual planning and consistent implementation of their integrated and holistic efforts to reform law enforcement agencies (Police, State Border Service of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine) and the bodies of the rule of law (judiciary and prosecution), in the context of cross-cutting aspects of good governance (fighting corruption, human rights, public administration reform and strategic communication).
