The ceremony of the oath rite of judges was held
The Administration of the President of Ukraine held a ceremony of the oath rite of judges with the participation of Mr Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine on March 31, 2015.
Judges in accordance with the laws of Ukraine have been trained and passed the examination sworn Ukrainian people in the manner specified by the Law of Ukraine "On the Judicial System and Status of Judges".
The ceremony was attended by Mr Yurii Baulin, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Mr Yaroslav Romaniuk, President of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Mr Olexandr Nechytaylo, President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine, Mr Bohdan Lvov, Chairman of the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine, Mr Borys Gulko, Chairman of the High Specialized Court on Civil and Criminal Cases, Mrs Valentyna Simonenko, Head of the Council of Judges of Ukraine, Mr Zenoviy Holodnyuk, Head of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, Mr Sergii Koziakov, Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
Mr Oleksiy Filatov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Coordinator of the Judicial Reform Council, the President took the only possible responsible and legally decide on their presence in these judges oath taking, although they were trained and passed the exam before the judicial reform and making appropriate changes to laws and ordinances pertaining to their appointment were issued in previous years.
"Keep in mind that a number of judges who took oath today, long deliberately permitted by the previous government under oath. If we want real change in the country and in particular in the judiciary, it must act solely in the manner prescribed by the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law. Law, not political preferences determine the actions of the Head of State", - said Mr Oleksiy Filatov.
It should be notice that according to the Law of Ukraine "On the right to a fair trial" without exception, the judge will be required qualification assessment which will include verification of both the quality of work and compliance with anti-corruption legislation. For each judge judicial dossier will be formed, which will remain full information about his career.
