The Chairman of the Commission met with the People’s Deputies of Ukraine
On 26 May 2015 Mr Sergii Koziakov, Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine met with Mr Igor Aleksieiev, Mr Andrii Pomazanov and Mr Dmytro Storozhuk, People’s Deputies of Ukraine upon their request.
At the meeting the issues on consideration of a request on the misconduct of judges of County Administrative Court of Kyiv city made by Mr Pavlo Petrenko, Minister of Justice of Ukraine was discussing.
Mr Koziakov stressed that during the consideration of requests the Commission acts impartially and independently.
In addition, upon the proposal of Mr Koziakov some aspects concerning the implementation of the Law of Ukraine on the Restoration of Trust in the Judiciary in Ukraine were discussed.
The Chairman of the Commission also expressed the view on the need for speeding up the consideration of recommendations on transfer of judges to another court and on election of judges for a lifetime term, forwarded by the Commission to the Parliament of Ukraine in 2014-2015.
