The Chairman of the Commission Mr. Sergii Koziakov took part in the International Conference on Judicial Administration
On 1th December 2017, the Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Mr. Sergii Koziakov delivered a speech at the V International Practical Conference “Judicial Administration as a Part of Reform in the Justice Sector”.
“We have to cope with a serious joint work in the next two years. In 2018 only from 4 to 5 thousand of selection decisions should be taken. These are judges’ qualification assessment, the competition to the IP court, selection to appellate courts and local courts. And this not to mention the second competition to the Supreme Court” said Mr. Sergii Koziakov.
Moreover, the Chairman of the Commission stressed that all the procedures carried out by the HQCJ are a huge exchange of documents with various governmental agencies, in particular National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and National Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
“For instance, we need 250 thousand sheets of paper to file the Commission’s request to these public institutions regarding 700 candidates (who are involved in the selection to local courts). And there are answers. Therefore, we should provide automation of these processes”, - said the Chairman of the Commission.
