The Commission approved an updated structure and a stuff size of the employees of the National School of Judges of Ukraine
On the 6 of February, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine hosted a working meeting of members of the Commission with the administration of the National School of Judges of Ukraine (NSJU).
Mr. Mykola Onishchuk, the President of NSJU presented an information and analytical report on the activities of the National School of Judges of Ukraine in 2014. During the conversation the primary focus was on special training of judicial candidates.
The members of Commission made recommendations concerning the content of academic institution by analyzing the last year’s achievements of NSJU.
As mentioned Mr. Yurii Titov, the member of the Commission, having received 12-19 certificates some judges have deplorable results of work, namely a large number of canceled cases.
However, the judges that were unable to attend classes regularly for a number of objective reasons, by contrast demonstrated practical knowledge of the laws and their application.
The members of the Commission raise the question: whether the current approach to the re-education of the judges is effective and what is to be changed to make a certificate corresponding to the real professional level of the judge.
Mr. Mykola Patriuk, the Deputy Chairman of the Commission considers that psychological training of the judges is very important component of education, and he stands for its strengthening. Sometimes young judges through heavy loads cannot stand psychologically.
In order to optimize the structure of the National School of Judges of Ukraine the Commission decided to reduce a stuff size of the employees from 165 to 148. This will facilitate the improvement of the work of an institution and will help to avoid the duplication of the functions and save the budget.
Mr. Sergii Koziakov, Chairman of the Commission thanked the administration of the School for constructive propositions concerning the improving of the institution work and for their cooperation, which will give positive results soon.
