The Commission suspended 3 judges from office
On 11 April 2016 at the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine based on the request of the Prosecutor-General of Ukraine it adopted a decision to suspend 3 judges from office.
Thus, in connection with the criminal prosecution, the Commission suspended for 2 months:
- Mr. Mykhailo Krentsel, judge and chairman of Kozivskyi District Court of Ternopil region;
- Mr. Anatolii Levchenko, judge of Boryspilskyi City-District Court of Kyiv region.
The Commission also extended for 1 month the suspension period of Mr. Viktor Voloshchuk, judge of Olevskyi District Court, Zhytomyr region.
The consideration of request for suspension of Mr. Volodymyr Salii, judge of Zhydachivskyi District Court of Lviv region was deferred by the Commission.

Judge Mykhailo Krentsel is suspected of committing criminal offence envisaged by paragraph 2 of Article 28, paragraph 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely obtaining the improper advantage for committing for the interest of the advantage provider unlawful actions by using powers of the official upon preliminary conspiracy.
Judge Volodymyr Salii V.V. is suspected of committing criminal offence envisaged by paragraph 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely obtaining by the official, who holds a responsible position, improper advantage for the interest of the advantage provider for committing any actions of office abuse, combined with extortion improper advantage.
Judge Anatolii Levchenko is accused of committing criminal offence envisaged by Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely rendering knowingly unjust ruling on bringing a person to administrative liability under Article 1222 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences.
Judge Viktor Voloshchuk is suspended for 2 months by the Commission Decision as of 12 February 2016.
Judge Voloshchuk V.V. is suspected of committing criminal offence envisaged by paragraph 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely violation of the rules of road by a driver that caused the victim's death.
