The first 7 judges passed the initial qualification assessment
On 24 February 2016 the Qualification Chamber of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine announced the results of initial qualification assessment in respect of the first 9 judges.
Upon the results of assessment 7 judges applying for election to lifetime judicial position confirmed their ability to administer justice in the appropriate courts.
At the same time, 1 judge did not confirm the ability to administer justice. The Commission suspended her from the office and sent to the National School of Judges of Ukraine to undergo training until 22 August 2016. Wile the training the counts specialization, instance and the judge’s results of the initial qualification assessment will be taking into account. After training the judge will be subject to qualification reassessment.
Regarding another 1 judge, the Commission decided to take a recess in considering the determination of results of initial qualification assessment due to the need for additional data verification in part of judicial dossier of this judge.
