The initial qualification assessment of the second group of judges has begun
On 1 March 2016 the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine started to assess next 20 judges who are applying for lifetime appointment.
Today the judges are expecting anonymous testing and practical tasks. During testing the knowledge of established legal position of the Supreme Court of Ukraine and the legal opinion of the European Court of Human Rights will be assessed. Performing practical tasks will be carried out by discussing practical situation, which in particular includes procedural matters.
A week later, the second group of judges will pass an interview with the Members of the Commission's Qualification Chamber, where they will discuss the judicial dossier and announce the assessment results.
