The limiting of the rights to peaceful assembly of judges should be based on international judicial practice
Mr Sergii Koziakov, Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the members of the Commission, Advisor of the Chairman and disciplinary inspectors met with Mr Volodymyr Butkevych, Member of the Constitutional Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on March 5, 2015.
During the meeting the participants discussed the inadmissibility of restrictions on the rights guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights.
Based on the experience of the judges of the European Court of Human Rights, Mr Volodymyr Butkevych turned attention to the importance of consideration of Ukrainian judges of the European Court in the cases of restriction of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Parties agree to encourage further cooperation.
