The management of the Commission met with the representatives of the NGO Maidan - Public Control
On 2 June 2015 Mr Sergii Koziakov, Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine and Mr Stanislav Shchotka, Secretary of the Commission met with Mr Viktor Kolbantsev, Chairman of NGO “Maidan - Public control” and other activists of this organization.
During the meeting the issues concerning complaints against judges, whose actions has signs of disciplinary offence, were discussed. They were about the complaints filed by the NGO "Maidan - Public control" which were before the Commission.
As was stated by Mr Koziakov, for today the Commission considers 47 complaints against judges filed by this NGO. He also assured that all they will be examined impartially and in accordance with the law.
Since most of the complaints received by the Commission concern the review of judicial decisions, they fall beyond its competence. In this context Mr Shchotka stressed on importance to pay attention to the layout of complaint.
According to Mr Kolbantsev, Chairman of NGO "Maidan - Public control" the parties found a common language. He also noted the usefulness of the meeting as the citizens received important information on the work of the Commission.
