The working meeting with the Director of the National Courts Administration of the Republic of Lithuania took place

On June 14, 2017, the representatives of the Commission held the working meeting with the Director of the National Courts Administration of the Republic of Lithuania Ms. Reda Moliene, the Head of the Communication Division of the National Courts Administration of the Republic of Lithuania Ms. Zivile Navickaite-Babkin and the National expert of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” Ms. Oksana Matiiash.

The Commission was represented by the Secretary of the Qualification Chamber of the Commission Mr. Stanislav Shchotka, the member of the Commission Mr. Taras Lukash, the Advisor to the Chairman of the Commission Mrs. Yana Korsunska and the Chief Specialist of the Sector for Working Support of the Commission leadership of the Commission Secretariat Ms. Svitlana Maksymova.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the technical aspects of the Commission’s communication strategy during the qualification assessment and competition to the Supreme Court, its goals and main tasks, mechanisms for improving channels of communication within the framework of judicial reform and assessment of the efficiency of the courts.

The participants of the discussion agreed on future directions of cooperation in the field of communication.

The Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” is supported through the financial contribution of the European Union and provides assistance in developing a common strategy for justice sector reform. This three-year initiative brings together all partners in the justice sector in Ukraine and helps them to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for justice sector reform. The strategy is implemented through the mechanism of coordination between the institutions of the justice sector and guaranteed long-term financing by the Government of Ukraine.
