“Themis” Cup: Commission's Team overcomes Group stage
The Team of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has passed the Group stage of the Tournament on Futsal "Themis" Cup among judges and judicial institutions. Given the fact that for the first time this year the Commission is taking part in the Tournament and the Team was formed a month before its beginning, the result can already be considered as successful.
The Team included 15 employees of the Commission Secretariat: Mr. Mykhailo Zolotar, Mr. Vadym Stepanenko, Mr. Roman Korchiuk, Mr. Maksym Zinchenko, Mr. Taras Neshyk, Mr. Roman Hrynevych, Mr. Daniil Novov, Mr. Yevhen Lisovskii, Mr. Andrii Pryshchepchuk, Mr. Stanislav Shcherbynskii, Mr. Vadym Muzychuk, Mr. Viktor Shevchenko, Mr. Oleh Rybchuk, Mr. Ivan Kotusenko, Mr. Dmytro Krotenko.
The HQCJU has started the race in the mid-November. Notwithstanding defeat in the first match against strong team of Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv city with the score 3:9, Commission subsequently left no further chances to its opponents in the Group B. Confident victory 9:1 during next meeting with the team “Appeals COUNCIL” (HCJ and Kyiv Court of Appeals teams) allowed young HQCJU team to demonstrate strong self-confidence.
The next three points have been won during the meeting with the Commercial Court of Kyiv city - 3:2, and the victory over the Kyiv Appellate Commercial Court with a score of 5:1 allowed Commission to boast its achievements of 9 points after four rounds.
The most zealous for HQCJU seemed the match with the team «JUSTICE» (Shevchenkivskyi and Podilskyi District Courts of Kyiv city teams). Numerous injuries to players, unapplied ball and opponent's advantage during the game with the score 2:0 are not the best memories. And it looks like “justice” team has played that night in other form. The ending of the fight was fully belonged to the benefit of Commission with ultimately willed victory with the score 3:2. Mr. Vadym Stepanenko became the game Hero, who has recorded another hat-trick at his own account.
4 consecutive wins allowed to ensure Commission's access to the 1/8 finals of the Tournament. Therefore, the result of the last match, which took place this weekend, had no special significance. In a weakened structure and having multiple injuries the HQCJU players have lost the game against the team “Ships” (team of Mykolaivska oblsat) with the score 1:7.
Having taken 3rd place in the Group, Commission has passed to the next stage of the competition and on 8 December meets with the team “Obolon”, Obolonskyi District Court of Kyiv city.
We are reminding that the holding of an annual Tutsal “Themis” Cup Tournament takes place under the auspices of the Council of Judges of Ukraine and the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine. Competitions traditionally timed to the Court Day.
