Working meeting with the representatives of the USAID “New Justice” Program
On 22nd of September 2017, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine representatives met with the experts of the USAID “New Justice” Program.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of standardization for methods of psychological tests.
During the meeting, the candidate of psychological sciences Ms. Inna Kozytska addressed the Commission with the presentation “Conception of developing a set of psychodiagnostic techniques for assessing the moral and psychological qualities of a judge”. The expert covered in details the features of each of the four types of tests, designed to assess the moral and psychological qualities of judges.
The participants of the presentation discussed practical aspects of conducting testing for candidates for the positions of judges and have agreed on further cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief of Party of the USAID “New Justice” Program Ms. Natalia Petrova, Judicial Selection Specialist of the USAID “New Justice” Program
Ms. Lesya Nechyporenko as well as other experts and academicians of the faculty of the psychology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Mr. Ivan Danyliuk,
Ms. Inna Kozytska, and Mr. Dmytro Koroliov.
The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine was represented by Deputy Head of the Commission’s Secretariat Mr. Oleksandr Bystrushkin, Director of the Department of Judicial Career Mr. Taras Neshyk and acting head of the International Cooperation Department
Ms. Yuliia Tkachenko.

The USAID “New Justice” Program started its work in October 2016.
The Program is implemented to support the judiciary, Government, Parliament, Civil Society and the people of Ukraine in the implementation of judicial reform taking into account the Constitutional amendments 2016 in Strategy for reforming the judiciary structure, the judiciary proceedings and related legal institutions and the Action Plan for its implementation for
2015 – 2020.
The USAID “New Justice” Program builds on the achievements of the USAID Ukraine Rule of Law Project and USAID FAIR Justice Project and will use its progress for coordination of close cooperation with Ukrainian partners, USAID and US Government Projects and other projects of International donor organizations in Ukraine.
