The meeting of grantors and executors of projects in the rule of law is held, February 4, 2015
USAID Project “Fair Justice” held a monthly meeting on February 4th 2015 with the international aid projects representatives in the sphere of strengthening of the rule of law participating.
Sergii Koziakov, the Head of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, was invited for this meeting.
Mr. Koziakov reported on the Commission’s activities and objectives, which are considered of high priority. First on the list is a transfer of judges from anti-terrorist operation zone and an announcement of a vacancy for such judges.
Mr. Koziakov informed about such new functions of the Commission as attestation of judges and composition of judge's record, which shall be enshrined in the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and Status of Judges” by new amendments.
The participants of the meeting had shared their views regarding issues on disciplinary liability of judges. Within 8 months of the previous year no meetings of the Commission took place. As a result, 13 thousand of unexamined complaints have piled up.
Representatives reported on the results and future plans of projects designated to embody the principles of the rule of law in Ukraine.
