Visit of Ukrainian delegation to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of Netherlands, 6-13 March, 2016
As part of the training “Independence and accountability of the judicial system as interrelated factors of democratic development”, which is implemented by the USAID Project “Training programs for professional growth”, Ukrainian delegation consisting of representatives of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine, Mykolaivskyi County Administrative Court, Ternopilskyi District Administrative Court, Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Chernivtsi city, Ternopilskyi City-District Court of Ternopil region, High Council of Justice and High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine took part in a working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of Netherlands on 6-13 March 2016.
The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine was represented by the Members of the Disciplinary Chamber Mr. Pavlo Lutsiuk and Mr. Sergii Prylypko.
The purpose of the visit was to acquaint Ukrainian judges and professionals working in the judicial authorities of Ukraine with European experience of an independent judiciary, to strengthen their capacity to respond effectively to community needs and to learn the experience with greater independence and accountability of the judiciary.
The delegation members saw the work of the High Council of Justice of Belgium and the Netherlands, attended Belgian public bodies responsible for the overall performance, quality and efficiency of the courts, namely Board of Courts and Tribunals, Belgian Judicial Training Institute and the European Network of Councils for Justice.
