3 of 9 judges passed the initial qualification assessment

On 27 April 2016 the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine determined the results of initial qualification assessment of 9 judges of the Court of Appeal of Kyiv region.

Upon the assessment results the Commission Panel, composed of Mrs. Valentyna Ustymenko, Chairman of the Panel, Mr. Pavlo Lutsiuk and Mr. Mykola Mishyn decided that the following 3 judges are capable to administer justice in the respective courts:

  • Mr. Oleksandr Mukoliuk
  • Mr. Anatolii Orel
  • Mr. Valentyn Shrol

Mr. Stepan Panasiuk did not confirm his capability to administer justice. The Commission suspended him from administration of justice and sent to the National School of Judges of Ukraine to undergo retraining, which will last until 22 September 2016. During retraining the counts specialization and instance, and the results of initial qualification assessment of Mr. Panasiuk will be taken to the account. After retraining the judge will be subject to reassessment.

Due to the need for additional data verification of judicial dossier the Commission decided to take a recess in considering the determination of results of initial qualification assessment for the following judges:

  • Mrs. Oksana Rudnichenko
  • Mrs. Svintsitska Olena
  • Mr. Yurii Sementsov
  • Mr. Yurii Slyva
  • Mrs. Iryna Yashchenko
