8 of 11 judges confirmed the capability to administer justice
On 21 April 2016 the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine determined the results of initial qualification assessment of 11 judges of the Kyiv Appeal Administrative Court.
Upon the assessment results the Panel consisting of Ms. Valentyna Ustymenko, Chairman of the Panel, Mr. Yurii Titov and Mr. Andrii Vasylenko decided that the following 8 judges are capable to administer justice in the respective court:
- Mr. Volodymyr Alimenko
- Mrs. Nataliia Bezymenna
- Mr. Oleksanr Bezpalov
- Mrs. Liudmyla Bielova
- Mrs. Nataliia Buzhak
- Mr. Yaroslav Vasylenko
- Mrs. Olena Hanechko
- Mr. Vasyl Kliuchkovych
Mrs. Hanna Bystryk did not confirm her capability to administer justice. The Commission suspended her from administration of justice and sent to the National School of Judges of Ukraine to undergo retraining, which will last until 22 September 2016. During retraining the counts specialization and instance, and the results of initial qualification assessment of Mrs. Bystryk will be taken to the account. After retraining the judge will be subject to reassessment.
Regarding judges Mrs. Yana Hlushchenko and Mr. Andrii Horiainov, the Commission decided to take a recess in considering the determination of the results of initial qualification assessment due to the need for additional data verification from judicial dossier.
