AUTOMATION OF EXAM PROCEDURES DURING QUALIFICATION ASSESSMENT OF JUDGES
According to Article 85 of the Law of Ukraine “On Judiciary and the Status of Judges” the assessment, as an independent stage, shall be conducted by way of a written anonymous test and performance of a practical task to identify the level of knowledge and practical skills law application, and ability to administer justice in court of the relevant instance and specialization.
With a view to bring the exam into line with international standards the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine with the support of USAID FAIR Justice Project is working over developing special software system, which will enable judges to complete written exam in electronic format using computer technologies.
To ensure the automation of workflows the premises of the Commission, where exam will be held, were equipped with computers that at the request of a judge may be used during anonymous written test within the initial qualification assessment of judges.
