Commission recommends dismissing 2 metropolitan judges who adopted decisions in respect of the participants of the Automaidan
At the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, held on 18 November, 2015, the question of bringing judges to disciplinary liability was considered.
After consideration of the appeal of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament of Ukraine for Investigating the Facts of Mass Prosecution of Drivers Who Took Part in Peaceful Protests, the Commission decided to recommend to the High Council of Justice dismissing 2 metropolitan judges.
During the meeting other issues were discussed, as well. Thus, after verification the Commission decided to apply disciplinary sanction in the form of warning to 8 judges.
At the same time, the Commission decided to terminate the disciplinary proceedings against 14 judges and to differ consideration of the issue on holding of 12 judges disciplinary liable.
