Commission recommends the High Council of Justice to dismiss 2 judges for oath violation
At the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, held on 17 May 2016, it considered the issue of bringing judges to disciplinary responsibility.
Having considered the appeal of the Deputy Prosecutor of Odesa region Mr. Maksym Zanfirov, the Commission decided to recommend the High Council of Justice (HCJ) dismissing a judge of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City-District Court of Odesa region Mrs. Taisiia Matiash, seeing in her actions the evidences of oath violation.
In addition, having considered the appeal of the Chairman of Donetskyi County Administrative Court Mr. Viacheslav Kiriienko, the Commission decided to recommend the HCJ dismissing a judge of Donetskyi District Administrative Court Mr. Mykola Boiko, seeing in his actions the evidences of oath violation.
The Commission decided to apply disciplinary sanction in the form of warnings to the following judges.
- Mr. Andrii Novak, judge of Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv city;
- Mrs. Mariia Martynyshyn, judge of Frankivskyi District Court of Lviv city.
Moreover, the Commission issued a reprimand to the judge of Koroliovskyi District Court of Zhytomyr city Mr. Ruslan Halasiuk.
Due to the term expiry the Commission terminated the disciplinary proceedings against judge of Berezivskyi District Court of Odesa region Mr. Oleksandr Ditkov.
There was deferred consideration of disciplinary proceedings relating to:
- Mr. Valerii Chornobuk, judge of the Appeal Court of Dnipropetrovsk region (for acts committed as a judge of the Appellate Court of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea);
- Mr. Oleksii Pokatilov, Mrs. Nina Yanchuk, Mr. Valerii Aksionov, Mr. Kostiantyn Shalota, Mr. Oleksandr Synhaivskyi, judges of Koroliovskyi District Court of Zhytomyr city;
- Mr. Dmytro Novik, judge of Mahdalynivskyi District Court of Dnipropetrovsk region
