Monthly meeting of donors and implementers of international assistance took place
On 5 April 2017, the member of the Chamber for selection and public service of judges of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Mr. Andrii Kozlov took part in the regular meeting of donors and implementers of projects/programs in the field of rule of law, organized by the USAID New Justice Program.
The event was also attended by the representatives of the Council of Judges of Ukraine, the National School of Judges of Ukraine, the Public Integrity Council, and the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine, the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine”, the Ukrainian-Canadian project “Judicial Education for Economic development” and others.
Mrs. Halyna Chyzhyk, the member and coordinator of the Public Integrity Council, made a brief review of the state of affairs in the Public Integrity Council and also informed about the issues that the Council faced during the exercise of their authority.
In addition, the audience was informed about the Council's methods of collecting and analyzing data, the preparation of the information about a candidate for a position of a judge and the opinions on their non-compliance with the criteria of professional ethics and integrity. Some procedural aspects of the Council's activity in the context of international standards in the area of justice were also commented.

The USAID New Justice Program started its work in October 2016.
The Program is implemented to support the judiciary, Government, Parliament, Civil Society and the people of Ukraine in the implementation of judicial reform taking into account the Constitutional amendments 2016 in Strategy for reforming the judiciary structure, the judiciary proceedings and related legal institutions and the Action Plan for its implementation for 2015-2020.
The USAID New Justice Program builds on the achievements of the USAID Ukraine Rule of Law Project and USAID FAIR Justice Project and will use its progress for coordination of close cooperation with Ukrainian partners, USAID and US Government Projects and other projects of International donor organizations in Ukraine.
