Presentation of Report on results of the study «Attitude of Ukrainian Citizens to Judicial System»

In order to study the attitude of Ukrainian citizens to the judiciary and their assessment of various aspects of the court’s work, the sociological service of the Razumkov Center, commissioned by the Council of Europe's Office in Ukraine, conducted two sociological surveys: a representative survey of Ukrainian citizens and a survey of participants in court sessions at the exit from court premises.

On June 21, 2019, a presentation of the report on the results of the study «Attitude of Ukrainian Citizens to the Judicial System» conducted by the Ukrainian Center for Economic and Political Studies named after Oleksander Razumkov within the framework of the Council of Europe Support to the Implementation of Judicial Reform in Ukraine Project was held.

The event was attended by representatives of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the High Council of Justice, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the Supreme Court, the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the National School of Judges of Ukraine, the Council of Judges of Ukraine, the judges of the first and appellate instances, civil society representatives, and also international experts of Council of Europe.

The participants of the event discussed the results of the study and exchanged views on mechanisms for raising citizens' confidence in the judiciary in Ukraine.
