Rules of Procedure of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine amended
On February 5, 2019, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine held its regular plenary session. The issue of amending the Rules of Procedure of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, approved by the decision of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine dated October 13, 2016, No. 81/zp-16 (as amended) was discussed. The Chairman of the Commission Mr. Sergii Koziakov was the reporter.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Public Council of International Experts with a full bench: the Chairman of the PCIE Sir Anthony Hooper, the Vice Chairman of the PCIE Mr. Ted Zarzeczny and the members of the PCIE Mr. Flemming Christian Denker, Ms. Lorna Mclean Harris, Ms. Mirjana Lazarova Trajkovska.
It was decided to amend Section IV, paragraph 4.11, sub-paragraph 4.11.11, sub-paragraph 4.11.11.2 of the Rules of Procedure of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, approved by the decision of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine dated October 13, 2016, No. 81/zp-16 (as amended) as follows: “A full text of the decision shall be prepared within twenty days of the announcement of the resolution part and signed by all members of the Commission and PCIE participating in the meeting within a reasonable time”.
The necessity to introduce these changes initiated by the PCIE was agreed on during the working meeting of the members of the Commission and the PCIE, which took place on the same day.
