The Commission has suspended 2 judges from office
At the meeting held on 11 March 2016 the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, based on the request of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine decided to suspend 2 judges from the office.
Thus, in connection with the criminal prosecution, the Commission suspended Mr. Oleh Plevak from the position of judge and Court Chief of Zdolbunivskyi District Court for the period of 2 months.
Furthermore, the Commission has suspended Mr. Serhii Laziuk from the position of judge of Dzerzhynskyi District Court of Kharkiv city.
Regarding Mr. Serhii Vovk – the judge of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv city, the Commission has taken decision on returning back the Prosecutor's General of Ukraine request.

Justice Oleh Plevak is suspected in committing a crime under paragraph 3 of Article 3692 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely in obtaining undue advantage for himself for the impact on making the decision by a person authorized to perform state functions combined with extortion for such a requirement.
Justice Serhii Laziuk is suspected in committing a crime under paragraph 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely in obtaining by the official, who is occupying responsible position, undue advantage for committing by such official in the benefit of those, who give undue advantage, of any action with using provided power, combined with extortion of undue advantage.
Justice Serhii Vovk is accused in committing a crime, provided by paragraph 2 of the Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - adoption of knowingly unjust decisions.
