The Commission suspended 6 judges from the office
At the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, held on 25 December 2015, upon request of the Prosecutor-General of Ukraine the decision on suspension of 1 judge and extension of the suspension term in respect of 5 judges has been taken.
In particular, in connection with the prosecution, Mrs. Olena Horbatiuk, judge of the Court of Severodonetsk city, Luhanska oblast, has been suspended from the position of a judge for 2 months.
The Commission has extended for 1 month the suspension term in respect of:
- Mr. Vladyslav Oberemok from judicial office of the Makarivskyi District Court of Kyivska oblast;
- Mr. Serhii Vozniuk from judicial office of the Boryspilskyi District Court of Kyivska oblast;
- Mr. Vladyslav Lysenko from judicial office of the Kyievo-Sviatoshynskyi District Court of Kyivska oblast;
- Mrs. Svitlana Volkova from judicial office of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv city.
In addition, the Commission continued its meeting as of 23 December 2015, in which upon the request of the judge Mrs. Kushnir a recess was taken. Today the Commission has decided to extend the suspension period for Mrs. Svitlana Kushnir, judge of Solomianskyi District Court of Kyiv city for 1 month.
With regards to Mr. Serhii Vovk, judge of Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv city, the Commission has taken decision on returning the Prosecutor's General of Ukraine request in compliance to his withdrawal request.
The Commission has returned to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine the request on extension of suspension of Mrs. Iryna Tataurova from the position of the judge of Desnianskyi District Court of Kyiv city.
