The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine is ready to start the qualification assessment of judges
Today, on 11 December, 2015, the Council of Judges of Ukraine has agreed the approved Commission's Procedure and Methodology for Qualification Assessment of Judges and the Regulation on Examination Procedure during Qualification Assessment and Its Evaluation Methodology. This allows the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine to start the qualification assessment of a judge.
At the beginning of the meeting Mrs. Valentyna Simonenko, the Chairman of the Council of Judges of Ukraine took the floor and told about the joint work of two bodies. She also stressed on the importance of approval of these documents.
After that, the floor was given to Mr. Sergii Koziakov, the Chairman of the Commission, who has answered to numerous questions of the Council of Judges of Ukraine after presenting the fundamental approaches to the assessment content. A constructive fruitful discussion, which was attended by Members of the Council of Judges of Ukraine, the Commission and its Secretariat, was held.
After the discussion, the Members of the Council of Judges of Ukraine almost unanimously have voted for the approval of the two documents.
Also during the meeting it was decided to establish a joint working group including the Council of Judges of Ukraine and the Commission with an aim of further improving the procedure of qualification assessment of judges.
