The meeting of Mr. Sergii Koziakov, the Chairman of the Commission, with the representatives of the European Commission and the Delegation of the European Union in Ukraine took place
On June 13, 2017, the working meeting of Mr. Sergii Koziakov, the Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine with Mr. Per Ibold, the representative of the Directorate-General for Justice of the European Commission and Ms. Katia Lenzing, Member of the Support Group for Ukraine took place. The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine was represented by Mr. Henrik Larsen and Mr. Martin Schroeder.
The Chairman of the Commission told about the stages of the competition for the positions of judges of the cassation courts as the part of the Supreme Court and answered numerous questions from the European party regarding its main procedural peculiarities.
Mr. Sergii Koziakov also reminded that the competition is in the final stage now. These days the Commission meets in full and considers the issue concerning the candidates to the Supreme Court regarding whom the break was announced in connection with the provision of the opinions on their non-compliance with the criteria of integrity and professional ethics by the Public Integrity Council. The current procedure, as well the previous stages of the competition is broadcasted live on the official YouTube channel of the Commission, so any interested person can observe the process.
