The presentation the analysis results of the anti-corruption normative regulation in the judiciary on its compliance with the principles of independence and accountability of judges was held
On 30 March 2017, the presentation of the draft Report on the results of the analysis of the anti-corruption normative regulation in the judiciary on its compliance with the principles of independence and accountability of judges took place at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The author of the report is Mr. Mykola Khavroniuk, Doctor of Law, professor, expert of the Center for Policy and Legal Reform, expert of the USAID New Justice Program.
Mr. Khavroniuk also presented his conclusions and recommendations on improving the mechanisms and tools for implementing anti-corruption measures in the judiciary. His speech was accompanied by an active discussion of problem issues.
The participants also discussed the effectiveness of the anti-corruption mechanisms proposed by the Government and determined the directions and priorities in the implementation of expert recommendations.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the High Council of Justice, the Council of Judges of Ukraine, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption, the National School of Judges of Ukraine and others. The Commission was represented by Mr. Andrii Vasylenko, the member of the Qualification Chamber.
