The work on restoring justice in non-working courts is continuing
The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine informed that the situation regarding administration of justice in local courts would be improved in the nearest future. After all, by the results of the competition, which has been held by the Commission, excessive workload level would be overcome or administering of justice would be restored in 115 courts.
However, justice would not still be administered in two courts of Ukraine (Avdiivskyi City Court of Donetsk Region and the Stanychno-Luhanskyi District Court of Luhansk Region).
The Commission has received a letter from the Territorial Administration of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine in Luhansk Region, indicating that the issue of restoring the work of Stanychno-Luhanskyi District Court in Luhansk Region is on the permanent control of the Territorial Administration of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine in Luhansk Region and Luhansk Regional State Administration.
It is also informed, that as of today the reconstruction of another building for the court placement is undergoing with indicative term of works completion scheduled on October 15-30, 2019. In addition, the TA of SJA conducts a procurement of necessary computers, office equipment, furniture, audio and video equipment for recording court proceedings, as well as consumables to provide the work of the court.
Along with measures of a material and technical nature, corresponding work is being carried out to ensure staffing of the court.
The commencement of work of the court is possible under the condition of the appointment (transfer) of at least one judge to it. The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine is currently working to resolve this issue in order to restore the administering of justice in the Stanychno-Luhanskyi District Court of Luhansk Region and the Avdiivskyi City Court of Donetsk Region.
