Working meeting of the Commission Chairman with Chargé d’affaires ad interim of the Federal Republic of Germany
On 7 November 2016 the Commission Chairman Mr. Sergii Koziakov held a working meeting with Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Wolfgang Bindseil.
Chairman of the Commission informed Mr. Bindseil about the basic procedures undertaken by the Commission to ensure the exercise of all its powers and deliberated about problems the Commission faced with during implementation of judicial reform.
Mr. Sergii Koziakov in detail told about the plans and prospects of the Commission in the context of new powers under the constitutional amendments and the new Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges.” In particular, the Chairman of the Commission has emphasized on preparations for the competition to the new Supreme Court and stressed on the extreme importance of the competition completion in terms stipulated by the law.
In conclusion, Mr. Wolfgang Bindseil welcomed the transformation of the judicial system in Ukraine, which are within the Commission powers and wished further successful implementation of the judicial reform.
