Working meeting with the representatives of the International Monetary Fund Mission was held in the Commission
On 15 February 2018, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine hosted the working meeting of the Commission’s Chairman Mr. Sergii Koziakov with the Head of the International Monetary Fund Mission to Ukraine Mr. Ron van Rooden, the IMF Permanent Representative to Ukraine Mr. Goesta Ljungman, the IMF Legal Department Counsellor Mr. Emmanuel Mathias, and the IMF Mission to Ukraine Specialist Mr. Maksym Markevych.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the draft Law of Ukraine “On the High Anti-Corruption Court” of 22 December 2017 No. 7440, which defines the principles of the organization and operation of such a court, special requirements to the judges of this court and guarantees of their activities, as well as the procedural peculiarities of the Commission’s cooperation with the Public Council of International Experts in the course of the respective competition.
The meeting, which lasted approximately two hours, took place in a constructive, pragmatic and friendly atmosphere.
The Secretary of the Qualification Chamber Mr. Stanislav Shchotka, the member of the Qualification Chamber Mr. Andrii Vasylenko and the Head of the Secretariat Ms. Olena Ponomarenko also participated in the discussion on the draft Law.
