Please be informed that on January 13, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine adopted a decision to admit 410 candidates, who successfully passed the cognitive abilities test, to the third stage of the qualification exam within the competition for vacant positions of judges in appellate courts, announced by the Commission’s decision № 94/zp-23 dated September 14, 2023 (as amended). This stage involves completing a practical assignment in the specialization of appellate general courts (civil specialization), and a schedule for its implementation has been approved.

If a candidate’s surname, as indicated in the schedule, has been changed, the Commission must be notified immediately. A copy of the document confirming the change must be submitted (contact information for notification: tel. (044) 233-63-85, e-mail: zvernennia@vkksu.gov.ua).
The practical assignment for candidates applying for vacant positions of judges in appellate courts (civil specialization) will be conducted at the premises of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, located at: 9, General Shapoval Street, Kyiv.
Candidates must have their passports of a citizen of Ukraine for registration.
The practical assignment will be completed by candidates for vacant judicial positions in the courts of appeal (civil specialisation) using computer equipment.
The individual code for completing the practical assignment by candidates for vacant positions of judges in courts of appeal (civil specialisation) will be assigned randomly using an automated generation method (via an information system).
The workplace for the practical assignment by candidates for vacant positions of judges in appellate courts (civil specialisation) will be assigned randomly through a blind selection process, where the candidate will choose from printed and randomly placed concealed options.
Access for interested parties to the completion of the practical assignment by candidates will be ensured through a real-time video broadcast available on the Internet.
The duration of the practical assignment is 360 minutes.
The maximum possible score for the practical assignment is 150 points.
The passing score for the practical assignment is 75% of the maximum possible score, equivalent to 112.5 points.
