Competition for the Kharkiv Court of Appeal: One Candidate Has Confirmed the Ability to Administer Justice, and One Candidate Failed to Confirm It

On July 07, 2026, during the session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, a panel conducted interviews and determined the results of the qualification assessment of three candidates for the positions of judges at the Kharkiv Court of Appeal.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

During the special background check of the candidate, information was obtained that is taken into account when assessing compliance with the criteria of professional ethics and integrity during the interview and determining the results of the qualification assessment. The candidate was found to have confirmed the ability to administer justice in the general court of appeal

Please be reminded that 62 candidates submitted applications to participate in the competition for 47 vacant positions of judges in the Kharkiv Court of Appeal.

In total, interviews were conducted with 50 candidates: 35 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 9 candidates failed to confirm it, and 6 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. Two candidates withdrew from the competition. The qualification assessment has been suspended for 1 candidate.
